Exploring near Purgatory

On the 11th of Oct we tried to hiking with Papa Lilga. We pickup Papa and headed towards Purgatory. Purgatory is just east of Leeds and a fun amount of dirt road for me. The weather was a bit cold that day and actually snowed a little right after these pictures. We mostly bajaed over the dirt roads around it since it was to cold and winding to hike. Near the end of the road is when we found this wash. Brayden had so much fun in the sand. If we released that boy to the outside, he would stay out 24/7/365.

A Few good hikes.

As with most trails this sign says it all. We had good weekend on the 18th. On Saturday the 18th we went with Melanie and some friends to a hike into Snow Canyon from Winchester hills. We played in a slot Canyon and saw some cool petroglyph. Then the next day we went on the chuawala trial right in St. George. That is were Brayden and Nate are at the sign. We then went up to a little arch and also played in an alcove. Both hikes were fun for the whole family. In was in the 80s near then end of both hikes. More pictures are to come.

What's in a name?

So I have no idea of a name for our son that we are expecting. I have always liked the name Brandon. But with Bryan, Brayden and then a Brandon, Rachel might get us mixed up. Milo is the name that is growing on Rachel. I like it however the ring of it just isn't hitting the spot. I have always loved family history names. Even if those names have to be the middle one. Ricks, Kent, and David are some that I have thought of. Earl, Eric, and Ken are from Rachel's side. Let me know what you think.

So last weekend we went up north to my parents house. We had a very good time. It was nice to hang out with my family. Brayden had so much fun playing with his grandparents and the rest of the family. Here is a picture of him after he had too much banana bread.

Bryan's first Blog

So I have never done this before so we will give it a try.

This about my little family and their adventures and small lives. We are simple people and love to enjoy life. I am happy to get another person in my family. Rachel is cooking up another wonderful little baby for us. I sometimes can not even believe that I am a father. We are a family of three now. We love to do everything together. We are so grateful for each other.

We went a little hike yesterday up to crystal springs on cedar mountain. I was a small dirt road that lead us to the trail head. Rachel's mom showed us the way. We only hike for a little bit however it was so nice to get out and enjoy the nice cool weather. Brayden loved the dirt and got his raccoon eyes on. He was a good hiker. He is always super happy outside.

Lets start with that and hopefully I will get better a writing stories
